HI, my name is Jonny Greaves from JG Drive Driver Training, a driving school based in and around Nuneaton.
In 2026, I’m taking on a personal challenge to run 204 miles through organised running events to raise money for Speed Of Sight.
For most people, driving is freedom. Independence. Normal life.
For many people living with disabilities, it’s something they never expect to experience at all.
Speed Of Sight exists to change that.
They give adults and children with disabilities the chance to drive specially adapted cars on real race tracks. For some, it’s their first time behind the wheel. For others, it’s the first time they’ve felt genuinely in control.
As an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), I see every day how powerful driving can be. Confidence changes. People change. Lives open up.
Why 204 miles?
The number comes from 204mph - the world record set by Mike Newman, co-founder of Speed Of Sight, who was born blind.
That record wasn’t just fast. It proved a point.
Disability doesn’t define potential.
So my aim is simple:
- 204 miles
- Across organised running events
- Over 12 months
Some will be big races. Some will be smaller, interesting events when I’m travelling. All miles will be logged, shared, and earned.
